Frequently Asked Questions
Is your coaching approach right for me?
I work with high achieving women who are willing to put in the work to make long lasting changes. They are looking for help to create a life for themselves that isn’t standard, but is exactly right for them. In general they would check more than 5 of the boxes below:
- You are ambitious, someone who gets things done
- You’ve always had big dreams
- You’re not unhappy but it’s hard to ignore that little voice inside your head that says: 'something's not quite right.'
- Sometimes you just feel stuck, lost or frustrated…
- Somehow the life you desire feels just beyond your reach
- You're ready to take things to the next level
- You want to put in the work but you don’t know where to start
- You are looking for someone you can connect with to support you in this
Is your coaching for everyone?
Honest answer: No. That being said, a lot is possible. My coaching services could benefit you if you are:
- Looking for support and guidance towards achieving your goals
- Looking for an accountability partner to help you stay on track
- Coachable, which means you are willing to be guided and make changes
- Willing to collaborate
- Willing to devote time and energy to make realistic changes
- Looking to move forward with your life goals In coaching, you are investing in life transformation and not a specific product. A major component of success is the work and dedication you put in!
How much time will this take?
Coaching sessions generally take up about 45-60 minutes per session. Depending on your program I can share assignments to be finished in your own time in between sessions. These assignments differ in length, varying from 10 to 60 minutes.
What topics can I discuss with a coach?
As a coach I like to help you to create goals, brainstorm solutions, strengthen confidence and troubleshoot obstacles along the way. Any topic related to this can be discussed. The most popular topics are confidence and self-esteem, relationships, career dilemmas and career planning and creating/setting boundaries.
Do you outsource any work?
No, I run a boutique coaching company, meaning I have personal connections with all my clients and everything that is communicated around my business comes directly from me.
If I book today, how much do I pay?
I believe personal connection is one of the key factors of a successful coaching partnership. Therefore we will always start with a FREE discovery call to see how we get on. If we both feel the connection is right we can make the booking final, after which I’ll share the payment details. Coaching programs must be paid in full before the first session. Payment programs are available if needed.
What happens after I book?
I’ll get back in touch with you within 2-3 business days. We will set up a discovery call to see if we are a good fits and proceed from there.
What is coaching?
The International Coach Federation defines coaching as "partnering with clients in a thought-provoking and creative process that inspires them to maximize their personal and professional potential." The International Association of Coaching defines it as a "transformative process for personal and professional awareness, discovery and growth, and the expansion of possibilities." Life coaching is not consulting, advising, counseling, or psychotherapy. For more on the differences, visit http://www.icf-cf.com/coaching-faq.html
Is coaching the same as mental health counselling or therapy?
Coaching is not the same as mental health counseling or therapy. Life coaching provides encouragement, support, goal setting, and advice. I focus on your strengths, help you create positive habits, assist you in getting out of life ruts, and create a game plan for your future. Think of it as a collaborative relationship meant to propel you out of your “funk” and into a realm of success, happiness, and possibility. As a coach, I do not provide medication, I do not diagnose. I also won’t ever try to fix you or focus heavily on your past. Many clients also have therapists and work on both simultaneously, which I absolutely love! Just make sure you are not using coaching as a replacement for psychotherapy, as that is not within my scope.
What are the benefits of coaching?
The final benefits highly depend on the individual. Some general benefits that are usually achieved:
- Finding clarity, defining goals and desired outcomes
- Reaching deeper levels of fulfillment through creating a clear vision of your desired future
- Uncover unconscious thoughts
- Explore and move past limiting beliefs Coaching is about partnership and accountability. As a client you will be guided and feel supported during the process. Having a partner you can rely on whilst achieving your goals.
